This course will explore a range of topics existing under the umbrella term "toxic burdens” as it applies to the practice of nutrition. It considers questions and concerns related to ethics and practice of therapeutic nutrition and herbology in addressing clinical and subclinical toxicity presenting in modern man. This course suggests an approach to autoimmune issues and progression that does not employ immune suppression as the intervention of choice. It considers the etiology of autoimmune dysregulation and proposes a new insight into understanding the why and how autoimmunity is activated and exaggerated. Then clinical principles are described based on this paradigm illustrating rational intervention choices.
