8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
This engaging and informative 8-hour seminar by Jennifer Franco focuses on the nutritive requirement of the human body starting with healthy cells and building up through the body systems. We will review vitamins and minerals that are crucial for cellular function and how that contributes to specialized proteins in unique glandular/organ tissue. Cells that are well fed create tissues that function optimally which is crucial in the younger population with their rapid growth rate.
Jennifer will also spend time discussing the nutritional assessment of children and how to support them naturally throughout all stages of a child’s life. Learning and understanding the nutritional guidelines and recommendations for children will also be presented. Emphasis will be placed on 4 main phases of children’s nutritional support: infants, growth and development, immune system, and emotions and behavior. Patient care will also include diet and lifestyle modification, implementing specific nutritional protocols and appropriate case management through follow-up testing or nutritional consultations.
A healthy lunch is included.

Jennifer Franco owns and operates the Society of Wellness, a nutrition consulting company which implements functional nutritional systems in doctors’ offices around the country. This program works best for practitioners who want to provide a whole food nutritional option to their patients without the doctor doing the nutritional assessment and follow up themselves. Together, true health is created.
As a functional nutritionist, Jennifer conducts Functional Nutrition Assessments with clients in her Southern California offices, as well as virtually across the country. The purpose of a nutrition assessment is to evaluate the functional health of clients and determine their specific needs to further support their personal wellness goals.
Jennifer has an educational background in Kinesiology and is certified in Clinical Nutrition, Applied Clinical Nutrition, as well as an AFAA certified personal trainer. When Jennifer is not in the office seeing clients, she is passionate about educating both the general public and other health care practitioners through teaching seminars, lectures, workshops, writing articles for journals and speaking on national radio programs
